Cover Supervisor / Unqualified Teacher for Supply Required in Gloucester
Location: Gloucester
Due to demand Class People are seeking Cover Supervisors / Unqualified Teachers for secondary schools based in the Gloucester area for day-to-day supply cover.
Cover Supervisors / Unqualified teachers will be required to take responsibility of a class assisting pupils with work set by the teacher. This position can be very rewarding but also a demanding role, keeping a class of pupils focused on the work set and on task.
The responsibilities of a Cover Supervisor:
- Supervise work that has been set by the class Teacher (As a cover supervisor you are expected to summarise the planned work.).
- Interacting with pupils to assist with learning and teaching
- Ensure that pupils remain focused on their work
- Deal with any immediate problems or emergencies
- Managing behaviour by following the schools behaviour policy
- Report on the behaviour of pupils during the class and any issues arising
Person Specification of a Cover Supervisor / Unqualified Teacher
- The ideal candidates will be confident, have a proven track record of leading a group, willing to work as part of a team
- This role will suit outgoing personalities who are looking for an exciting and rewarding role, or looking to gain classroom experience before applying for a secondary teaching qualification
- Class People are looking for candidates that have experience that will be relevant to controlling a classroom environment at secondary level
All candidates will be required to complete an enhanced CRB and be able to provide reference details.
