Our consultant and teacher, Adrian Hunt, has defied his painful feet and aching legs to complete the 102 mile Cotswold Way in just six days. A challenge undertaken with Jo, his wife and fellow teacher, which entailed three consecutive weekends of intense walking, averaging 17 miles a day, to hike from Chipping Campden in the North Cotswolds to the city of Bath. The reason behind this seemingly foolish enterprise was to raise funds for Jo and Adrian's August adventure to Malawi, during which they will be leading training seminars for Malawian teachers. The training of teachers in Malawi is basic, at best, and by sharing some of the skills, ideas and practices common in the UK, the hope is to offer new inspiration for effective teaching. Thank you very much to the teachers who have offered practical lesson ideas and suggestions. Your help has been gratefully received and will form an important part of the seminar planning!
