What does the Quality Mark mean?
The QM award demontrates that agencies and local authorities have met a national standard by operating a robust recruitment selection and vetting process when engaging supply teachers. In doing so it gives increased confidence to schools parents and and pupils that staff supplied through them are recruited in line with the Department for Education guidance and current legislation requirements.
The Quaility Mark scheme sets 19 standards covering the way that supply teachersare recruited, selected and supplied to schools.
To achieve QM status applicants undergo a rigorous application process including a comprenensive on site audit. A further audit is carried out every year to offer continued assurance that standards are being maintained.
