Continue your Professional Development

Presented by well-known, experienced and relevant speakers, class people will ensure you keep learning and developing your skills.

In the ever-changing world of education, the importance of ongoing training and professional development cannot be under-estimated. Our programme covers a variety of topical subjects and aims to provide our teachers with an advanced knowledge of current teaching methods, initiatives and practice. The aim is to support you, not only as a supply teacher, but in your teaching career in general. Teachers will also be provided with a collection of relevant, useful and adaptable teaching activities and ideas for the classroom.

Our seminars provide an opportunity to enhance your CV, develop your teaching, and to meet, socialise and network with other education professionals in comfortable, informal settings.

Experienced Head and LA Advisor Andy Mellor joins us again this year, with the latest seminar ‘The ‘Write’ Stuff- improving the standards and attainment in writing’ taking place on Saturday 15th January 2011 at the Montpellier Chapter (formerly Hotel Kandinsky). Andy covered techniques, strategies and tips to develop writing levels and drew upon the use of drama, storytelling ,‘creative boxes’, cross-curricular links and the use of outdoor activities. Attendees took away a tool kit of over 100 practical ideas to develop writing in the classroom, including ideas how to motivate those reluctant boys!
