Science Cover Supervisor – Westbury (Full-Time, Jan–Easter)

Start Date: 05/01/2026
Contract: Full-time, fixed term until Easter (possibility to extend to July)
Pay: £168.80 per day to £271 per day (M1–M6 equivalent)

About the Role:
We are working with an excellent secondary school in Westbury who are looking for a confident Science Cover Supervisor to join them from January. You will be delivering pre-planned lessons across Biology, Chemistry and Physics at KS3–KS4 level, maintaining strong behaviour and ensuring lessons run smoothly in the absence of the teacher.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver pre-prepared lessons across all three sciences up to GCSE

• Maintain a calm, positive and productive classroom environment

• Manage behaviour effectively in line with school policies

• Support students’ learning and ensure work is completed

• Provide feedback to the relevant teaching staff

Requirements:

• Experience delivering Science lessons up to GCSE level (essential)

• Confident classroom presence and strong behaviour management

• Previous experience within a secondary school or youth setting

• Ability to build rapport quickly with students and staff

• A proactive and professional approach

• A valid DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
