About the Role:
Are you passionate about supporting children with special educational needs? Do you want to help learners with ASD, social and emotional needs, or speech and language difficulties reach their potential?
Class People is working with several schools in Frome and Midsomer Norton to recruit SEN Teaching Assistants for a mix of 1:1 roles and small-group support, starting in September 2025.
These schools are inclusive, nurturing, and well-staffed – the ideal setting for both experienced SEN TAs and those looking to move into the sector.
Responsibilities:
- Provide tailored support to children with EHCPs or learning barriers
- Support positive behaviour strategies and emotional regulation
- Modify lesson content under teacher guidance
- Liaise with SENCOs, therapists, and families when needed
Candidate Requirements:
- SEN/TA qualification or relevant experience (e.g. youth work, care, etc.)
- A calm, caring, and patient approach
- Able to build strong rapport and work flexibly
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
