Science Secondary Teacher – Westbury (Full-Time, Jan–Easter)

Start Date: 05/01/2026
Contract: Full-time, fixed term until Easter (potential extension to July)
Pay: Paid to £168.80 per day to £271 per day, (M1–M6 scale per day)

About the Role:
A successful secondary school in Westbury is seeking a committed Science Teacher to join their team from January. You will be responsible for teaching Biology, Chemistry and Physics up to GCSE level with full teaching responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging, well-structured lessons across KS3 and KS4

• Teach all three sciences confidently up to GCSE

• Complete all planning, marking and assessment responsibilities

• Support the wider Science department with curriculum delivery

• Create a positive learning environment that encourages progress

• Attend meetings, parent evenings and school events as required

Requirements:

• QTS or equivalent recognised teaching qualification

• Ability to teach Biology, Chemistry & Physics to GCSE level

• Strong classroom and behaviour management

• A commitment to raising attainment and supporting all learners

• A valid DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
