Class People are currently recruiting an experienced and committed SEN Teacher to work within a supportive school in the Stroud area.
This is an excellent opportunity for a teacher who is passionate about inclusive education and enjoys adapting learning to meet the individual needs of pupils. The successful candidate will play a key role in helping pupils develop academically, socially, and emotionally within a nurturing learning environment.
About the Role
As an SEN Teacher, you will deliver engaging and tailored lessons designed to support pupils with a range of additional needs. Working closely with Teaching Assistants, SENCOs, parents, and external agencies, you will help ensure every pupil has the opportunity to succeed and make meaningful progress.
You may be supporting pupils with needs including autism, ADHD, SEMH, communication difficulties, and moderate learning difficulties.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver creative, inclusive, and differentiated lessons
- Adapt teaching methods to meet individual learning needs
- Create a positive and structured classroom environment
- Monitor pupil progress and contribute to individual learning plans
- Work collaboratively with support staff and wider school teams
- Support pupils' confidence, independence, and overall wellbeing
What We're Looking For
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Previous experience within SEN or inclusive education is desirable
- Strong classroom management and organisational skills
- A patient, resilient, and adaptable approach
- A genuine passion for supporting pupils with additional needs
