Part-Time Year 5 Teaching Role Available from January 2026

Class People are proud to be working with a friendly and inclusive primary school on the outskirts of Gloucester, seeking a Part-Time Year 5 Teacher to join their team from January 2026 until July 2026.

This role is perfect for teachers who enjoy the challenge and creativity of Key Stage 2 teaching but are looking for a balanced, part-time working week (Wednesday to Friday).

The school has a warm, supportive atmosphere, a dedicated leadership team, and a strong community ethos, making it an ideal environment for both Early Career Teachers (ECTs) and Experienced Teachers.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging and creative lessons to Year 5 pupils across the Key Stage 2 curriculum

• Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment

• Work collaboratively with colleagues and teaching assistants

• Track pupil progress and provide constructive feedback

• Follow safeguarding and school behaviour policies

Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

• Recent or relevant experience teaching within Key Stage 2, ideally Year 5

• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills

• Enthusiastic, flexible, and committed to high standards

• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
