Class People are delighted to be working with a supportive primary school in Gloucester seeking a dedicated and passionate Year 6 Teacher to join their team from January until the end of the academic year.

This is a full-time teaching position where you’ll play a crucial role in preparing pupils for their transition to secondary school, fostering confidence, curiosity, and achievement in every learner.

The school has a strong community ethos, excellent leadership, and a reputation for supporting both Experienced Teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs) to thrive.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, deliver, and assess engaging lessons across the KS2 curriculum

• Prepare pupils for end-of-year SATs with a balanced, supportive approach

• Foster a positive, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment

• Collaborate effectively with colleagues, support staff, and leadership

• Uphold school policies, including safeguarding and behaviour management

Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

• Recent teaching experience in Key Stage 2, ideally Year 6

• Strong subject knowledge and understanding of Year 6 expectations

• Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills

• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
