Welcome back to Class People!
As we all prepare to return to teaching and get back to the heart of supply and recruitment, it’s only natural to be nervous about what the coming weeks and months will hold. Whilst we are all working together to navigate the new normal and tackle the risk of COVID-19 in the workplace, we understand that our clients and teachers might be feeling unsure about how supply teaching will work. With that in mind, we want to reassure you that we are following strict COVID-19 guidelines and are working hard to make the transition back to work as smooth and stress-free as possible.
Your safety is our priority
At Class People, the safety of our clients and teachers remains our biggest priority and you can rest assured that we are following the latest government guidance to keep everyone safe. For starters, we have appointed our own COVID-19 Officer, Bryony Hopton, and we have also implemented a stringent track and trace system. This means that should any schools, pupil bubbles or candidates find themselves having to self-isolate, we can monitor if any other parties need to be informed as a result and make sure they are contacted as soon as possible.
Working together with our teachers
As we return to teaching and welcome in the new academic year, we understand that our teachers, TAs and nursery staff might be feeling hesitant about what lies ahead. That’s why we have been working behind the scenes to ensure that we can support you with your re-introduction to the workplace. Ultimately, we want our much-valued teachers and nursery staff to feel as safe and secure as possible, which is why we have implemented track and trace records on our CRM system. In addition, we are also asking all our schools to send their revised COVID-19 health and safety policies so we can share it with you before your arrival.
Supporting our schools
We appreciate that a number of schools might be reluctant to use temporary staff due to worries about supply teachers and transitioning between schools. However, these individuals provide a much-needed support to the running of schools - and to not use them is, in most cases, unavoidable. Your safety remains our priority, which is why we have put new processes in place to ensure we adhere to government guidance. What’s more, we are also offering our schools the opportunity to purchase a guarantee teacher for a term. This ensures exclusivity through term one, whilst also provides added security whilst you navigate working within your own bubble.
