Experienced SEN Teaching Assistant – Cheltenham

Class People is working with supportive primary and secondary schools in Cheltenham who are seeking experienced SEN Teaching Assistants to provide consistent, nurturing support to pupils with additional needs.

The Role

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you’ll play a key role in helping pupils feel confident, supported and able to access learning. This may involve 1:1 support or working with small groups, depending on the needs of the school.

Your responsibilities may include:

• Supporting pupils with special educational needs

• Working closely with class teachers and SENCOs

• Encouraging engagement, independence and positive behaviour

• Helping to create a calm, inclusive classroom environment

This role requires availability during the school day, 8:30am to 3:15pm, term time only.

Minimum Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must:

• Have at least 1 year of experience working as an SEN Teaching Assistant

• Hold a Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification

• Be available to work 8:30am–3:15pm

• Be patient, reliable and committed to supporting children with additional needs
