Experienced SEN Teaching Assistant – Forest of Dean

Are you an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant looking for a fulfilling role in the Forest of Dean?

Class People is working with supportive and inclusive schools across the Forest of Dean who are looking for experienced SEN Teaching Assistants to provide consistent, nurturing support to pupils with additional needs.

The Role

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you’ll play an important role in helping pupils feel safe, supported and able to engage with learning. This may involve 1:1 support or small group work, depending on the needs of the school.

Your role will include:

• Supporting pupils with special educational needs

• Working closely with teachers, SENCOs and support staff

• Encouraging positive behaviour, confidence and independence

• Helping to create a calm, inclusive classroom environment

This is a term-time role, requiring availability between 8:30am and 3:15pm.

Minimum Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must:

• Have at least 1 year of experience working as an SEN Teaching Assistant

• Hold a Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification

• Be available 8:30am–3:15pm, during term time

• Be patient, reliable and committed to supporting pupils with additional needs
