HLTA – SATs Intervention Lead – Gloucester

Are you an experienced HLTA with a passion for raising attainment and helping pupils feel confident ahead of SATs?

Class People is working with a welcoming primary school in Gloucester seeking a skilled Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to lead targeted SATs interventions and support pupils in achieving their full potential.

The Role

As a SATs Intervention Lead, you’ll play a key role in supporting Year 6 pupils in the lead-up to their assessments. You will plan and deliver focused intervention sessions in English and Maths, working with small groups to boost confidence, close gaps in learning and reinforce key concepts.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Delivering structured SATs intervention sessions

• Supporting pupils with exam techniques and confidence-building

• Monitoring progress and providing feedback to teaching staff

• Assisting with lesson cover where required

• Working closely with the Year 6 team to ensure consistency and impact

This is a term-time role, ideal for someone confident in leading small groups and stepping into the classroom when needed.

Requirements

To be considered, you must:

• Hold a HLTA qualification or equivalent experience

• Have experience supporting KS2 pupils, ideally Year 6

• Demonstrate strong knowledge of the KS2 SATs curriculum

• Be confident leading small groups independently

• Be organised, proactive and results-focused
