📌 SEMH Teacher – Bristol

Pay: From £130 per day up to £271 per day 
Start: ASAP / January
Contract: Full-time | Long-term | Opportunity for permanent placement

Our Bristol SEMH provisions are seeking a confident SEMH Teacher to work with pupils who require emotional, behavioural and mental health support. You will be supporting young people with trauma backgrounds, attachment needs, anxiety, behavioural challenges, and additional learning needs.

The Role

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons that prioritise emotional regulation

• Work within small class groups (typically 6–10 pupils)

• Manage challenging behaviours with restorative and therapeutic approaches

• Build positive relationships with pupils who need consistent support

• Liaise with SENCO, counsellors, pastoral leads and parents

• Support pupils to develop resilience, independence and positive routines

Requirements

• QTS/QTLS (essential)

• Experience within SEMH, PRU, alternative provision or behaviour units

• Confidence using de-escalation strategies

• A calm, empathetic and resilient personality

• A passion for supporting children with additional barriers to learning
