Are you a passionate and experienced Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant looking for your next rewarding role? Join a supportive and dynamic team in the heart of the Forest of Dean and help make a real difference in the lives of children with additional needs.
About the Role:
We are currently seeking experienced SEN TAs to support children with a range of special educational needs, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and complex learning difficulties. Roles are available across various primary and secondary schools in the Forest of Dean area.
You will:

Provide 1:1 or small group support tailored to individual learning needs

Support students with both educational and emotional development
-
Work closely with class teachers, SENCOs and external professionals

Help create an inclusive, safe, and engaging learning environment
Requirements:
-
Minimum 3 months of experience working with children with SEN in an educational setting

Strong understanding of SEN strategies and behaviour management techniques
-
Ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff and families
-
A calm, patient and empathetic approach

Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to obtain one)
Desirable:
-
Relevant qualifications (e.g. Level 2/3 Supporting Teaching and Learning, Team Teach, Makaton, PECS)

Own transport (some roles are in rural locations)
