SEMH Teacher
Salary: £32,000 – £46,000 (pro rata for part-time)
Hours: Full-time or Part-time - Permanent
Location: Brislington
We are recruiting two SEN Teachers to join a well-established SEMH Alternative Provision based in Brislington, Bristol.
This opportunity is open to teachers from primary or secondary backgrounds who are looking to work in a specialist setting and support young people in re-engaging with education in a meaningful and supportive way.
Our client is passionate about supporting their staff and are happy to consider hours that work around your family life. They can also consider applicants who are not yet qualified with a view to supporting them through their teaching qualification.
It is essential that any applicant applying has experience working with challenging behaviours or children with SEMH.

About the learners:
Learners are aged 11–16 (Years 7–11) and often arrive with varied and disrupted educational experiences. Many may have experienced:
· Poor or non-attendance
· Disengagement from mainstream education
· Persistent behavioural challenges resulting in suspensions
· Permanent exclusion
· Periods of elective home education
· Unmet Special Educational Needs
· An Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP)
As an SEN Teacher, you will:
· Deliver engaging, trauma-informed teaching to learners with SEMH needs
· Adapt teaching approaches to meet individual learning and emotional needs
· Support learners to rebuild confidence and engagement with education
· Work closely with colleagues, families and external professionals
· Contribute to a calm, structured and nurturing learning environment
