Class People is working in partnership with a welcoming and well-regarded primary school located near Midsomer Norton to recruit an experienced and passionate Part-Time SENCO.

πΌ The Role
The successful candidate will:

Lead and manage SEND provision across the school

Ensure compliance with the SEND Code of Practice

Oversee EHCPs, annual reviews, and targeted interventions

Liaise effectively with parents, staff, governors, and external agencies
-
Support colleagues to deliver high-quality, inclusive teaching
-
Contribute strategically to school improvement

π©π« The Ideal Candidate Will:

Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

Have completed, or be willing to complete, the National Award for SEN Coordination

Have a strong understanding of SEND legislation and best practice

Be an excellent communicator with strong organisational skills

Demonstrate empathy, resilience, and a child-centred approach

Have experience supporting a range of additional needs
