Class People is working in partnership with a welcoming and well-regarded primary school located near Midsomer Norton to recruit an experienced and passionate Part-Time SENCO.

πŸ’Ό The Role

The successful candidate will:

  • Lead and manage SEND provision across the school

  • Ensure compliance with the SEND Code of Practice

  • Oversee EHCPs, annual reviews, and targeted interventions

  • Liaise effectively with parents, staff, governors, and external agencies

  • Support colleagues to deliver high-quality, inclusive teaching

  • Contribute strategically to school improvement

πŸ‘©‍🏫 The Ideal Candidate Will:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

  • Have completed, or be willing to complete, the National Award for SEN Coordination

  • Have a strong understanding of SEND legislation and best practice

  • Be an excellent communicator with strong organisational skills

  • Demonstrate empathy, resilience, and a child-centred approach

  • Have experience supporting a range of additional needs
