Class People are proud to be working in partnership with a welcoming and well-regarded primary school in Congresbury, who are seeking a Year 5 Primary Teacher on a long-term basis, with the potential to become permanent.

This is a lovely school with a supportive leadership team, strong community feel, and a real focus on pupil wellbeing and progress. The school is keen to find a committed teacher who can provide consistency for the class and fully embed themselves into school life.

The Role:

  • Full-time Year 5 class teacher

  • Long-term or permanent opportunity

  • Start date after February half term or Easter (flexible for the right person)

  • Full planning, marking and assessment responsibilities (with support)

About You:

  • You’re a confident and capable Key Stage 2 teacher

  • You can quickly build positive relationships with pupils and staff

  • You’re organised, proactive, and passionate about delivering high-quality teaching

  • You’re looking for stability in a long-term or permanent role

What You Need to Join the Class People Teaching Team:

  • QTS (Qualified Teacher Status in England)

  • Strong classroom and behaviour management skills

  • Excellent communication and teamwork

  • An enhanced DBS (registered on the Update Service or willing to apply through Class People)

Pay Rates:

  • Long-term contracts paid to scale: £162.31 – £261.17 per day

  • Permanent: Paid to M scale. 
    (Permanent salary to be discussed directly with the school)
