About the Role
Class People are seeking compassionate and dedicated SEN Learning Partners to support schools across the Cheltenham area. This is a rewarding opportunity to work closely with children and young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN), helping them to access learning, build confidence, and achieve their full potential.
You will work alongside teachers and SENCOs to provide tailored support, either on a 1:1 basis or within small groups, adapting to the individual needs of each pupil.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEN (including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and learning difficulties)
- Assist in implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and behaviour support strategies
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment
- Support pupils’ social, emotional, and academic development
- Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and other professionals
- Monitor and report on pupil progress and wellbeing
Requirements
- Experience working with children or young people with SEN (in schools or similar settings)
- A patient, empathetic, and resilient approach
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to adapt and respond to individual learning needs
- Relevant qualifications (e.g., CACHE, Teaching Assistant qualification) are desirable but not essential
