Class People are currently recruiting for a Full-Time Year 5/6 Teacher to join a supportive and well-established primary school in Portishead, North Somerset. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Primary Teacher or KS2 Teacher looking for a rewarding role in Upper Key Stage 2.

The Role
- Full-time Year 5/6 Teacher position
- Full planning, preparation and marking responsibilities
- Deliver engaging and challenging Upper KS2 lessons
- Maintain strong behaviour and classroom management
- Support pupils in preparation for transition into Year 6/secondary school
- Work collaboratively with staff, parents, and the wider school community
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for a Primary Teacher who:
- Has experience teaching KS2, ideally Year 5 or Year 6
- Is confident delivering engaging and well-structured lessons
- Demonstrates strong behaviour management and classroom control
- Is committed to high standards and pupil progress
- Is looking for a full-time, long-term teaching role
Requirements
To work with Class People you will need:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in England
- Experience working as a Primary Teacher or KS2 Teacher
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
