5 Places to visit in August

5 Places to visit in August:

The summer holidays are quickly approaching, and everyone is talking about what they are doing and where they are going for their summer holiday.

So, where is good to visit in August?

  1. The first place on the list is a place I think most, if not all children (and if we are being honest, adults too) want to visit. Of course, it?s the happiest place on earth, Disneyworld in Orlando, Florida. Disneyworld itself has 4 theme parks and 2 water parks, but if that?s not enough to keep you entertained Orlando also offers a whole lot more. Why not take a trip out of this world and visit Kennedy Space Centre or hop on an airboat tour on the everglades, you might even see an alligator!

  1. Next is somewhere a bit closer to home, and that?s Spain. Spain has lots to offer, you could take a trip to the fantastic city of Barcelona and try out the local tapas restaurants or visit one of the Canary Islands. La Palma is a great alternative to the more popular islands such as Tenerife and Lanzarote. It has beautiful beaches, incredible volcanoes and has the most amazing star-filled night skies. You might even get lucky and spot dolphins and whales swimming just off the coast.

  1. August is a brilliant time to visit Zambia, as it is in the middle of the dry season, and a perfect time for spotting elephants, hippos and even leopards in Zambia?s national parks. When you need a break from watching all the amazing animals, why not visit the outstanding Victoria Falls.

  1. Number 4 on the list is Italy. Italy has so much to offer that everyone will find something they love. There is lots of history, beautiful art, 51 UNESCO World Heritage Sites and most importantly, the most incredible food. Who doesn?t enjoy a big bowl of pasta or a slice of pizza after a fun day exploring?! And who can forget about the gelato? A trip to Italy isn?t complete without a scoop of gelato.

  1. Last, but not least is London. There are so many amazing things to see and do in London. Including lots of free things to do. One of my favourite things to do is spend some time at the National History Museum. Looking at the dinosaurs, reminds me of all the times I visited as a child.
