To celebrate Roald Dahl day 2018 the Class People team were asked to name their favourite Roald Dahl book as a child and why. Here are their answers:

Recruitment Consultant Alicia Hart, Operations Manager Naomi Howells and SEN Consultant Ryan Willey's favourite Roald Dahl book is Matilda. Ryan said ?My favourite Roald Dahl book is Matilda. I love how Matilda defies all the odds living with her dysfunctional family to become an admiral young student who is a role model for all. Matilda is an inspiration to all children who come from a disadvantaged background to become a highly intelligent student. The fact she is magic doesn?t have anything to do with it either?

Cheltenham Branch Manager Ellis' favourite book is The Twits because "it inspired a generation of men to grow beards, with food in them!"

Recruitment Consultants Rob Mills, Anna Rankin and Kizzy Fletcher's choice was The BFG. Robs reason; "because he looks like me" Kizzy has said ?BFG is my favourite Roald Dahl book, as it tells the funny story of an unlikely friendship between people from two different worlds? a giant and a child. The BFG conveys a strong message that bullying must not be tolerated?

Our Compliance Officer Bryony Hopton has chosen Charlie and the Great Glass Elevator as her favourite because as a child she recalls "enjoying reading about Charlie floating around in space"

Trainee Recruitment consultants Sarah and Scarlet's favourite book is James and the Giant Peach. Scarlet's reason; "It is quite a quirky book which explores the power of imagination?.especially the amazing imaginations that children have!! Making friendships and overcoming fears is at the heart of the book, which are both very important messages to send children to help them on their journey. Also I have always really loved peaches, a delicious and healthy snack?much better than the chocolate from Willy Wonka?s factory?

Trainee Recruitment Consultant Valeria and Head of SEN Becky have chosen Charlie and the Chocolate Factory as their favourite book because it was their most read as a child

Kelly Marie Wade our Credit Controller named George's Marvellous Medicine as her all time favourite Roald Dahl book. Her favourite quote being "Never grow up? always down". She recalls listening to the audio book as a child and the sounds of a bubbling laboratory.

Financial Controller Jason and Trainee Recruitment Consultant Oliver enjoyed reading The Enormous Crocodile, Jason's favourite quote; "I'm going to fill my tummy with something yummy yummy yummy" whilst Oliver has said ?My favourite Roald Dahl book has got to be The Enormous Crocodile! Despite the fact that the Crocodile tried to eat everyone and anyone, he is a very funny character?

Dorset & Exeter Branch Manager Katie Holdsworth and Candidate Care Administrator Josh Heath have chosen Fantastic Mr Fox as their favourite. Katie recalls the book being read to her at primary school
