5 Ways to Keep Kids Entertained Over Easter
With the Easter holidays approaching, we?re sharing five ideas to help keep your children entertained over the two week break.
Fingers crossed for sunshine!
1. Go on an Easter Egg hunt!
Cadbury?s have teamed up with National Trust to create an Easter Egg extravaganza at a number of properties around England, Wales and Northern Ireland. Sounds fun, right? Alongside the egg hunt, there will also be face-painting, games and craft activities, making it a great family day out for all!
There are 250 hunts to choose from, visit the website here to find out more.
2. A Day out to the Farm
A day trip to your local farm or wildlife park is another great activity for the whole family during the Easter holidays. From feeding the animals to tractor rides, play areas to a host of demonstrations ? not to mention gift shops and picnic areas.
If you happen to live in or around the Cotswolds area, Adam Henson?s Cotswold Farm Park is a real highlight and there will be a Live Lambing experience up until 15th April!
3. Ready, Steady, BAKE!
Nothing quite beats baking over the Easter period. Get all the kids involved and enjoy a morning or afternoon baking up a storm! Mary Berry would be proud?
BBC Good Food have a great choice of bakes to choose from, or keep it super simple and make a batch of Chocolate Nests! Send us photos of your bakes over on Facebook and Twitter.
4. Get creative at home with Arts & Crafts
Of course, you haven?t got to go out or spend money to have fun. Sometimes there?s nothing better than getting out the colouring pens and paints to create your own Easter masterpiece. You could create your own Easter Egg hunt and invite friends and family over, or perhaps create your own Easter bonnet ? the ideas are endless!
Hobbycraft have a variety of Easter craft activities to inspire you over the next couple of weeks if you?re stuck for ideas.
5. A trip to the theatre
It may seem a little early for Panto season, but Alice in Wonderland is touring over Easter across the country. Featuring BGT star Ashley and her dog Sully, Dave Benson-Phillips and Leslie Ash, the show is sure the entertain the whole family!
Still stuck for ideas? There is always the cinema to fall back on. If the glorious sunshine doesn?t hold out for the entire half term, why not pop to your local cinema and watch one of the latest movie releases.
