DBS POLICY
At Class People, safeguarding children and young people is at the heart of everything we do. As part of our safer recruitment procedures, all candidates working through us are required to complete the appropriate pre-employment checks, including a DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check where applicable.
Applying for a DBS Check
Candidates who do not already hold a suitable DBS certificate registered with the DBS Update Service may be required to apply for a new DBS check through our approved provider.
The current cost of a DBS application is £62.70, payable directly to our DBS processing partner, UCheck. This fee covers the processing and administration of the DBS certificate.
We strongly encourage all candidates to register for the DBS Update Service once their certificate has been issued. This allows the DBS certificate to remain portable between employers and may reduce the need for future applications.
DBS Refund Scheme
Class People offers a DBS refund incentive for eligible candidates. If you complete 12 full days of work within 4 weeks of your first assignment with us, we will refund the cost of your Class People DBS certificate.
Verification Process
Once your DBS application has been submitted, Class People will countersign the application following successful verification of your identification documents and completion of the required compliance checks.
Please note that candidates cannot be placed into work until all mandatory safeguarding and compliance checks have been satisfactorily completed.
Support and Assistance
We understand that the DBS application process can sometimes be confusing. If you require any support or have any questions regarding your DBS application, our team will be happy to assist you throughout the process.
