Class People Take Action for Charity

Class People CEO Lynis and the team spent last Friday cycling in the foyer of Eagle Tower, all in aid of raising money and awareness for Action for Charity: Women V Cancer.

Taking it in turns on the exercise bike, the team raised a total of ?280 for the cause.

Lynis Bassett, CEO of Class People, is taking part in a women-only bike ride across India later this year for the cancer charity; challenging herself and helping to take positive action against breast, ovarian and cervical cancers.

The intense 450km cycle will be over the course of 5 days, on and off road, where the group will experience rural India at its most raw and colourful.

As well as training, Lynis will need to raise money to support the work of the Women V Cancer charities, which include Breast Cancer Care, Jo?s Cervical Cancer Trust and Ovarian Cancer Action, and is asking friends, family, colleagues and local people and businesses to help raise as much money for the cause.

We held a variety of events throughout last summer to help raise funds for the charity. From bake sales and bike rides to The Cotswolds Creative Market, the team pulled out all the stops to bring in the support and donations for this important cause.

Lynis says, "I have been motivated to step out of my comfort zone and do my bit to support Action for Charity after being inspired by their dedication and work in helping to improve survival rates for women suffering from cancer. We recognise that the teaching profession is predominantly female and on many occasions are faced with working with our schools to provide support during challenging times.?
