Our Top 5 UK National Parks
The UK is absolutely beautiful, it is easy to forget how stunning the UK country side is as most of us leave the country religiously every opportunity we get. Tomorrow (06/04/19) will mark the start of Discover National Parks fortnight, an awareness event created with the purpose of showing people how gorgeous our little island can be. So this week?s Buddy?s Friday Five will be our top 5 National Parks.
- The Yorkshire Dales
The dales are 841 square miles of beautiful grassy scenery with amazing wildlife.
Highlight: Ribblehead Viaduct
- Loch Lomond and The Trossachs
Established in 2002 the park stretches 720 square miles covering rolling low lands, mountains, lochs, rivers, forests and woodlands.
Highlight: Arklet and The West Highland Way
- Snowdonia
827 square miles makes it the largest national park in wales, with big hills and beautiful lakes Snowdonia is perfect for those that enjoy hiking.
Highlights: Snowdon
- The Pembrokeshire Coast
At only 240 square miles it inst the largest national park however it is one of the most stunning. It is the only UK national park to be designated because of its beautiful coastline
Highlights: St David's Head
- The Lake District
At an impressive 912 square miles of green country side, massive lakes, beautiful valleys and breath taking views has made the Lake District extremely popular with tourists.
