Top Tips For Student Wellbeing

  1. Eat Well

At University it can be hard to eat well, cheaper foods like pot noodles are quick and easy to make but they aren't conducive to a healthy diet. Make sure you have some basic cooking skills before you go to uni to ensure you can eat a healthy balanced diet as it is proven to make us feel emotionally well.

  1. Look After Something

The Mental Health Foundation says just caring for someone, or something, can boost the mood. So maybe look after a small plant. Like a cactus.

  1. Keep In Touch

Moving away from home can be overwhelming especially when going to uni. Between freshers, getting settled and lectures it can be hard to find the time to keep in touch with those that mean the most to you. Try to set aside a little time every week to touch bases with home and your friends.

  1. Talk About Your Feelings

Talking about your feelings is a great way to vent, it stops things from building up inside which can cause stress and anxiety.

  1. Ask For Help

We?re all human and there?s no shame in getting support from your friends, family, or your university wellbeing service.
