WE’RE HIRING – SCHOOL ATTENDANCE OFFICER 

Location: Gloucester
Salary: Up to £33,000 per annum. Part time options will be considered.

Class People are recruiting for a School Attendance Officer to join a school in Gloucester, supporting pupils and families to improve attendance and ensure every child has the opportunity to succeed.

The Role:

• Monitor and maintain accurate pupil attendance records.

• Identify and follow up on persistent absences and lateness.

• Work closely with parents, carers and school staff to improve attendance.

• Support the implementation of the school's attendance policies.

• Prepare attendance reports and maintain accurate records.

• Help identify barriers to attendance and work with families to find solutions.

• Promote positive attendance and improved outcomes for pupils.

The Ideal Candidate:

• Experience in school attendance, education welfare or a similar role.

• Excellent communication and organisational skills.

• Confidence working with pupils, parents and school staff.

• A proactive, professional and supportive approach.

• An understanding of safeguarding and school attendance procedures.
