Location: Cheltenham, Gloucestershire
Start Date: ASAP
Duration: Until approximately 17th December 2026
Contract: Full-time
Pay: £150–£271 per day, depending on experience

Class People are currently looking for an experienced Biology Teacher to join a secondary school in Cheltenham on a full-time basis, starting ASAP and continuing until approximately 17th December.

This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified Biology Teacher with experience teaching across Years 9–13 and familiarity with the AQA exam board.

The Role

• Full-time Biology teaching
• Start ASAP
• Placement running until approximately 17th December
• Teaching Biology across Years 9–13
• Following the AQA exam board
• Full teaching responsibilities, including planning, preparation, marking and assessment
• Preparation and marking time built into allocated free periods
• Working on a two-week A/B timetable
• Working as part of a supportive school team

Timetable

• Monday: 8.30am – 4.00pm
• Tuesday: 8.30am – 4.00pm
• Wednesday: 8.30am – 4.00pm
• Thursday: 8.30am – 1.15pm
• Friday: 8.30am – 4.00pm

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for a teacher who:

• Has QTS or recognised teaching status
• Has experience teaching Biology across Years 9–13
• Has experience teaching AQA Biology
• Can confidently deliver engaging Biology lessons
• Is confident with planning, preparation and marking
• Has strong classroom management skills
• Is available to start ASAP
• Is committed to providing high-quality teaching and supporting pupils' progress
