Location: Bisley, Gloucestershire
Salary: £16.35 per hour
Contract: Part-Time, Term Time Only
Hours:
- Breakfast Club: 7:15am – 9:15am (Monday to Friday)
- After School Club: 3:00pm – 6:00pm (Monday to Thursday) and 3:00pm – 4:30pm (Friday)
Are you enthusiastic, caring, and passionate about working with children? Class People are recruiting on behalf of a welcoming primary school in Bisley for a reliable and energetic Breakfast & After School Club Assistant to join their wraparound care team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys creating a safe, fun, and engaging environment where children can thrive before and after the school day.
The Role
As a Breakfast & After School Club Assistant, you will:
- Welcome children into the club and ensure they feel safe and included.
- Supervise children during indoor and outdoor play activities.
- Prepare and serve simple breakfasts and light refreshments.
- Encourage positive behaviour and support children's social development.
- Organise creative games, crafts and age-appropriate activities.
- Maintain a clean, safe and stimulating environment.
- Work closely with school staff and communicate effectively with parents where appropriate.
- Follow safeguarding, health and safety, and school policies at all times.
We're Looking For Someone Who:
- Has experience working with primary-aged children (school, nursery, childcare or youth work experience is desirable).
- Is friendly, reliable and approachable.
- Can build positive relationships with children, parents and colleagues.
- Has excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Understands the importance of safeguarding and child welfare.
- Holds (or is willing to obtain) an Enhanced DBS check.
