About the SEN Teaching Assistant Role

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will support pupils with a range of additional needs including autism (ASD), ADHD, SEMH, speech and language needs, and learning difficulties.

Your role may include:

  • 1:1 SEN support
  • Small group intervention work
  • General classroom assistance within mainstream and specialist schools

You will play an important role in helping pupils engage with learning, build confidence, and feel supported throughout the school day.

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience working with children or young people is desirable
  • SEN experience is beneficial but not essential
  • A patient, proactive, and adaptable approach
