Location: Oxford, Oxfordshire
Pay: £100–£130 per day, depending on experience

Class People are recruiting for an experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to support pupils in a school in Oxford.

The successful candidate will deliver targeted English and maths interventions, helping pupils build confidence, address gaps in their learning and develop essential literacy and numeracy skills.

The Role

• Deliver targeted English and maths interventions to individual pupils and small groups.
• Support pupils with reading, writing, spelling, phonics and numeracy, as appropriate.
• Identify learning gaps and adapt activities to support progress.
• Monitor and record pupil progress, providing feedback to teaching staff.
• Support pupils who require additional help to access the curriculum.
• Work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff.
• Lead learning activities independently within the school's agreed plans and procedures.

The Ideal Candidate

• Experience working at HLTA level or in a comparable higher-level support role.
• Proven experience delivering English and maths interventions – essential.
• Strong literacy and numeracy skills.
• Confidence leading learning activities independently.
• Experience supporting pupils with different abilities and learning needs.
• Strong communication, organisation and behaviour-management skills.

Experience supporting pupils with SEND would be advantageous but not essential.
