As an SEN Teacher, you will play a key role in supporting pupils with a range of additional needs. You will create engaging and accessible lessons, adapt learning to individual abilities, and work closely with Teaching Assistants, SENCOs and other professionals to ensure every pupil receives the support they need to succeed.

The ideal SEN Teacher will have:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Previous experience teaching pupils with SEN or SEND.
• A good understanding of different special educational needs and learning difficulties.
• Experience adapting lessons and teaching strategies to meet individual needs.
• Strong classroom management and communication skills.
• A patient, supportive and inclusive approach to teaching.
• The ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents.
