KS2 Maternity Cover in Lydney

Class People are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced KS2 Teacher to take on a long-term maternity cover position at a primary school in Lydney, starting in January.

This is an excellent opportunity for a teacher looking for the consistency of a long-term placement, while retaining the flexibility and support that comes with working through Class People.

The role will involve taking full teaching responsibility for a KS2 class, creating an engaging learning environment and supporting pupils to achieve their best throughout the placement.

About the Role

As the KS2 Teacher, you will:

• Take full responsibility for a KS2 class
• Plan and deliver engaging and effective lessons
• Teach across the KS2 curriculum
• Maintain high expectations for learning and behaviour
• Assess and monitor pupil progress
• Adapt teaching to meet individual needs
• Build positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents
• Work closely with the wider school team
• Provide consistency and continuity throughout the maternity cover

The role is expected to run on a long-term basis, making it ideal for someone looking to settle into a school and build strong relationships with their class.

Who We're Looking For

We're looking for a teacher who is:

• Confident and experienced teaching KS2
• Passionate about primary education
• Able to take full classroom responsibility
• Strong in planning, assessment and behaviour management
• Creative and enthusiastic in their approach to teaching
• Reliable and committed to a long-term placement
• Able to build positive relationships with pupils and colleagues

QTS is required, along with recent experience teaching within Key Stage 2.

ECTs with suitable KS2 experience are also welcome to apply.
