About the Role
As an SEN Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and accessible lessons tailored to the needs of your pupils. Working closely with support staff, SENCOs, parents, and external professionals, you will help create a learning environment where pupils feel safe, supported, and empowered to succeed.
You may be teaching pupils with a range of needs including autism, ADHD, SEMH, speech and language difficulties, and moderate learning difficulties.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver high-quality, differentiated lessons
- Adapt teaching strategies to support a variety of learning needs
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and nurturing classroom environment
- Monitor progress and celebrate individual achievements
- Work collaboratively with Teaching Assistants and wider school staff
- Support pupils' social, emotional, and academic development
What We're Looking For
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Experience working with pupils with additional needs is desirable
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- A patient, flexible, and creative approach to teaching
- A genuine commitment to inclusive education
