Class People are currently recruiting for an experienced and dedicated SENCO to join a school in Gloucestershire.

The Role

As SENCO, you will play a key role in coordinating and developing SEND provision across the school. You will work closely with teaching staff, school leaders, parents and external professionals to ensure pupils receive the appropriate support to thrive.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Leading and coordinating SEND provision across the school.
• Supporting teachers and staff to meet the needs of pupils with SEND.
• Monitoring pupil progress and the effectiveness of interventions.
• Coordinating EHCPs and annual review processes.
• Working closely with parents, carers and external agencies.
• Supporting the identification and assessment of additional needs.
• Ensuring SEND records and documentation are accurate and up to date.
• Promoting an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
• Contributing to whole-school improvement and inclusion strategies.

About You

We are looking for someone who:

• Has experience working as a SENCO or in a significant SEND leadership role.
• Has a good understanding of the SEND Code of Practice.
• Is passionate about supporting children with additional needs.
• Has excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Can build strong relationships with pupils, staff, parents and external professionals.
• Is proactive, supportive and confident in their approach.
• Is committed to improving outcomes for every child.
