Class People are currently recruiting for a friendly and dedicated Teaching Assistant to work within a welcoming primary school in Weston-super-Mare.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about supporting children’s learning and development in a nurturing school environment. The successful candidate will work alongside teaching staff to help pupils reach their full potential both academically and socially.

The Role

• Supporting pupils in the classroom on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
• Assisting the class teacher with learning activities and classroom preparation
• Encouraging positive behaviour and engagement
• Supporting children with additional learning needs where required
• Helping to create a safe, inclusive and stimulating learning environment

The Ideal Candidate Will:

• Have experience working with children in a school or childcare setting
• Be patient, caring and enthusiastic
• Have strong communication and teamwork skills
• Be adaptable and proactive
• Hold GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths
