The Role – Teaching Assistant

As a Teaching Assistant, you will play an important role in supporting teachers and helping pupils get the most out of their learning experience.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Supporting teachers with daily classroom activities and lesson delivery.
• Providing one-to-one and small-group learning support.
• Helping pupils develop confidence, independence and key learning skills.
• Supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) where required.
• Creating a positive, safe and inclusive classroom environment.
• Encouraging positive behaviour and pupil engagement.
• Assisting with classroom preparation and educational resources.

What We're Looking For

We are keen to hear from candidates who have:

• A genuine passion for working with children and supporting their education.
• A positive, patient and approachable attitude.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• The ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Reliability, flexibility and a willingness to learn.
• Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or within an educational setting (desirable but not essential).

Candidates with experience supporting pupils with SEN, additional learning needs or behavioural challenges are particularly encouraged to apply.
