KS2 SEN Teaching Assistant Gloucester

Are you an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant who knows that sometimes the biggest breakthroughs come from the smallest steps?

Class People are looking for a confident, patient and dedicated Teaching Assistant to support pupils with additional needs across Key Stage 2. This is a great opportunity for someone who understands that every child learns differently and knows how to adapt their approach to help pupils feel supported, included and ready to learn.

You’ll work closely with class teachers and the wider school team to provide tailored support, helping pupils build confidence, develop independence and get the most out of their time in school.

The role may involve:

• Providing one-to-one and small-group support for KS2 pupils with SEN

• Adapting learning activities to suit individual needs and abilities

• Supporting pupils with communication, social interaction and emotional regulation

• Using positive behaviour management strategies to encourage engagement

• Helping pupils access the curriculum and develop their independence

• Working alongside teachers and other professionals to support individual learning goals

We’re looking for someone who has previous experience supporting children with special educational needs, ideally within a primary school setting. You’ll be calm under pressure, adaptable and confident building positive relationships with pupils who may need a little extra support to thrive.
