Salary: £150 – £271 per day

Class People are currently recruiting for an English Teacher job in Oxford for a long-term supply role in a secondary school. This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic and dedicated English Teacher to join a supportive school and make a positive impact on students’ learning.

The Role

• Teach English across Key Stages 3 and 4, with Key Stage 5 experience desirable.
• Plan and deliver engaging, well-structured English lessons.
• Assess and monitor student progress.
• Maintain high expectations of behaviour and achievement.
• Work collaboratively with the English department and wider school team.
• Support students with a range of abilities and learning needs.

Requirements

• QTS or relevant teaching qualification.
• Strong subject knowledge in English.
• Experience teaching English within a secondary school setting.
• Ability to deliver engaging lessons across KS3 and KS4.
• Excellent classroom management skills.
• An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
