As a Teaching Assistant, you will play an important role in supporting pupils, helping them to access learning and develop both academically and personally.

The Role

Depending on the school and position, your responsibilities may include:

• Providing one-to-one or small-group support for pupils
• Supporting pupils during lessons and classroom activities
• Helping pupils to engage with their learning
• Supporting positive behaviour and emotional regulation
• Working alongside teachers and other members of the school's support team
• Helping pupils develop their confidence, independence and social skills
• Adapting activities and resources to meet individual learning needs
• Building positive and trusting relationships with pupils
• Supporting pupils with a range of learning needs
• Contributing to the wider learning process

What We're Looking For

We would love to hear from you if you have previous experience working with children or young people.

Experience in a school or educational setting is highly desirable, although we also consider applicants with relevant experience from other care, support or youth environments.

We're particularly interested in Teaching Assistants who are:

• Experienced in supporting children or young people
• Patient, understanding and approachable
• Confident supporting positive behaviour
• Reliable and adaptable
• Passionate about helping children achieve their potential
• Able to work effectively as part of a school team

Relevant qualifications, such as a Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification, are advantageous but are not always essential where you have strong relevant experience.
