Deputy Nursery Manager – Speedwell, Bristol

ClassPeople is recruiting on behalf of a nursery in Speedwell, Bristol, for a dedicated, enthusiastic and caring Deputy Nursery Manager.

Are you passionate about early years education and ready to take the next step in your career? We are looking for an experienced early years professional who can support the day-to-day running of a nursery, inspire a team and help provide high-quality care and education for every child.

About the Role

As Deputy Nursery Manager, you will work closely with the Nursery Manager to ensure the smooth running of the setting, maintain high standards of care and education, and create a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment where children can thrive.

Key responsibilities include:

• Supporting the daily management and operation of the nursery.

• Leading, motivating and supporting the nursery team.

• Promoting high standards of safeguarding, health and safety, and childcare practice.

• Supporting children's learning, development and wellbeing in line with the EYFS framework.

• Building positive relationships with parents, carers and colleagues.

• Supporting staff development, supervision and performance.

• Ensuring nursery policies, procedures and regulatory requirements are followed.

• Helping to maintain an inclusive, welcoming and engaging learning environment.

About You

The ideal candidate will have:

• A relevant Level 3 early years qualification or above.

• Previous experience in a senior or leadership role within an early years setting.

• A sound understanding of the EYFS framework and safeguarding requirements.

• Excellent communication, organisational and leadership skills.

• The ability to motivate and support a team.

• A caring, professional and proactive approach.

• A genuine passion for supporting children's learning and development.
