Class People are currently recruiting for a Physics Teacher for a full-time supply role at a secondary school near Gloucester. This position is ideal for a qualified teacher looking for a stable, long-term placement through to the end of the academic year.

We are working closely with a supportive secondary school seeking a dedicated Physics Teacher who can deliver engaging and well-structured lessons across the secondary curriculum.

Physics Teacher Job Responsibilities

As a Physics Teacher, your responsibilities will include:

• Delivering engaging Physics lessons across KS3 and KS4
• Teaching Physics at KS5 where required
• Planning and delivering lessons aligned with the UK National Curriculum
• Supporting students’ scientific understanding, curiosity and confidence
• Maintaining strong classroom and behaviour management
• Assessing and monitoring student progress effectively
• Contributing to a positive and inclusive learning environment

Requirements

To apply for this role, you should have:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
• Experience teaching Physics in a secondary school
• The ability to teach across the secondary Physics curriculum
• Strong classroom management and behaviour management skills
• An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
• A flexible and professional approach to secondary school teaching
