About the Role
Class People are seeking committed and empathetic SEN Learning Partners to support schools across the Stroud area. This role is centred on enabling pupils with additional needs to access education in a way that is meaningful and sustainable for them.
Working closely with teaching staff and SENCOs, you will provide targeted support to individuals or small groups, adapting your approach to suit a range of needs including autism, ADHD, SEMH, and moderate learning difficulties.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide consistent 1:1 and small group support for pupils with special educational needs
- Assist in the delivery of tailored learning strategies and individual education plans
- Promote engagement, independence, and positive behaviour
- Build strong, supportive relationships with pupils to encourage confidence and progress
- Collaborate effectively with teachers and wider school staff
- Monitor and communicate pupil development and wellbeing
Candidate Profile
- Experience supporting children or young people, ideally within an SEN setting
- A calm, patient, and adaptable approach
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- A genuine commitment to supporting inclusive education
- Relevant qualifications are advantageous but not essential
