Class People are currently recruiting for an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to support a school in the Hartpury area.
This is a rewarding opportunity for a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant who has previous experience supporting pupils with additional needs and is passionate about helping children reach their full potential.
The successful candidate will play a key role in providing tailored support, building positive relationships, and helping pupils access learning in a way that meets their individual needs.
About the Role
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and SENCOs to support pupils with a range of additional needs, including:
- Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
- ADHD
- SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs)
- Learning difficulties and communication needs
The role may involve providing 1:1 support, delivering small group interventions, and assisting pupils both inside and outside of the classroom.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide tailored support to pupils with special educational needs
- Build strong and positive relationships with pupils
- Support emotional regulation and positive behaviour
- Assist with personalised learning activities and interventions
- Work collaboratively with teaching staff and external professionals
- Help create an inclusive and supportive learning environment
