Class People are delighted to be recruiting for an experienced and passionate Room Leader to join a welcoming and supportive early years setting in Clifton, Bristol.

This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic Early Years professional who is confident leading a room, supporting a team and creating a nurturing environment where children can thrive.

The Role

As Room Leader, you will be responsible for the day-to-day running of your room, ensuring children receive high-quality care, learning and development opportunities.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Leading and supporting a team of Early Years practitioners.
• Creating a safe, stimulating and inclusive learning environment.
• Planning and delivering engaging activities based on children's individual interests and development.
• Supporting children to reach their full potential through high-quality interactions and experiences.
• Building positive relationships with children, parents and colleagues.
• Completing observations, assessments and planning in line with the EYFS.
• Acting as a positive role model for the wider team.
• Supporting and mentoring colleagues to develop their skills and confidence.
• Maintaining high standards of care, safeguarding and practice.
• Taking responsibility for the smooth and effective running of the room.

About You

We are looking for someone who:

• Has experience working within an Early Years or nursery setting.
• Has previous experience in a Room Leader or senior practitioner role.
• Holds a Level 3 or above qualification in Early Years/Childcare.
• Is passionate about children's learning, development and wellbeing.
• Is confident leading and motivating a team.
• Has excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Can build strong and positive relationships with children, families and colleagues.
• Is creative, enthusiastic and committed to delivering high-quality early years provision.
• Has a good understanding of the EYFS and safeguarding requirements.
