The Level 2 Early Years Practitioner Role
As a Level 2 Early Years Practitioner, Nursery Nurse or Early Years Educator, you will work as part of a supportive nursery team to provide a safe, stimulating and nurturing environment in which every child can learn, develop and thrive.
Your responsibilities may include:
  • Supporting children’s learning and development through play
  • Delivering engaging, age-appropriate activities
  • Providing high-quality care in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage
  • Observing children and contributing to their development records
  • Supporting children’s emotional, social and physical wellbeing
  • Building positive relationships with children, parents and carers
  • Working closely with Nursery Practitioners, Room Leaders and management
  • Maintaining excellent safeguarding, health and safety standards
  • Helping to create an inclusive and inspiring nursery environment
About You
To be considered for these permanent Early Years roles, you will ideally have:
  • A recognised Level 2 Early Years or Childcare qualification
  • Experience within a nursery, pre-school or Early Years setting
  • A good understanding of the EYFS framework
  • A warm, caring and child-centred approach
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting children’s welfare
  • Enthusiasm for developing your career within Early Years education
