The Level 3 Early Years Practitioner Role
As a Level 3 Early Years Practitioner, Nursery Nurse or Early Years Educator, you will play an important role in providing high-quality childcare and creating a safe, stimulating and nurturing environment in which every child can learn, develop and thrive.
Your responsibilities may include:
  • Planning and delivering engaging, age-appropriate learning activities
  • Supporting children’s development through purposeful play
  • Providing high-quality care in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage
  • Completing observations, assessments and development records
  • Acting as a key person for a group of children
  • Building trusted relationships with children, parents and carers
  • Supporting children’s emotional, social and physical wellbeing
  • Working closely with Nursery Practitioners, Room Leaders and management
  • Promoting an inclusive and inspiring nursery environment
  • Maintaining excellent safeguarding, health and safety standards
  • Supporting less-experienced members of the Early Years team
About You
To be considered for these permanent Level 3 Early Years roles, you will ideally have:
  • A recognised and full Level 3 qualification in Early Years or Childcare
  • Previous experience within a nursery, pre-school or Early Years setting
  • A strong understanding of the EYFS framework
  • Knowledge of safeguarding and child development
  • Experience completing observations and supporting children’s next steps
  • A warm, caring and child-centred approach
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • A commitment to providing outstanding care and education
  • Enthusiasm for developing your career within the Early Years sector
