Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant who knows how to build trust, encourage engagement and support children with additional needs?
We’re looking for a caring and confident SEN Teaching Assistant to provide dedicated 1:1 support to a Reception-aged pupil in a school setting. The pupil is currently on a part-time timetable, attending mornings, with the aim of gradually increasing to full days.
The role will focus on supporting engagement, managing behaviour positively and helping the child take part in classroom activities. You’ll work closely with the school team to provide consistent support and help the pupil build confidence and settle into the school day.
We’re looking for someone who:
-
Has experience supporting children with SEND, ideally in an EYFS or Reception setting
-
Is patient, calm and confident supporting behaviour and engagement
-
Can build positive relationships and adapt to the child’s individual needs
-
Is reliable and able to provide consistent support
This is an excellent opportunity for a Teaching Assistant who enjoys working one-to-one and wants to make a meaningful difference to a young child’s school experience.
The role is due to start after half term on Monday 2nd November, initially covering mornings, with the potential for hours to increase as the pupil’s timetable develops.
